This article will describe how to set up a Fund definition for the funds that will be invested in.
Go to Market data -> Fund definitions
Use the + sign to add a new Fund
Enter the Name of the Fund.
Description Field is optional.
Select Currency and Fund Company (the counterpart).
Note; The Fund company must be entered in Master Data and have at least Counterpart and Issuer ticked in the company usage.
Enter the ISIN for the fund.
Select Average or FIFO depending on how calculation of result should be done when selling.
Select Fund Type, Default is the common fund no matter if it is equity, interest or mixed. Interest should be chosen if the interest needs to be separated in accounting due to Tax regulation.
Rounding share (quantity) and price, how many decimals Treasury Systems should use when calculating the number of shares or price.
Fund fee: Only for information, not used in any calculation.
Rebate: Only for information, not used in any calculation.
Duration: Treasury systems do not calculate duration for funds, but you can add the duration here to be used in reports within Treasury Systems.
Benchmark- if applicable choose a benchmark. It is possible to set up benchmarks on three different levels. Note that the benchmark also needs to be set up in the Fund definition.
