This article describes how to enter the trades made in a fund. The fund should already be set up in market data / Fund definition. How to set up a Fund
Go to New Deal/ Fund
Enter the Legal Entity and Counterpart where the payments should be paid to.
Select the fund and deal date.
Press Save.
Go to the transactions tab.
Under Order enter the value date of the transaction.
Enter in Fund type if it is a buy or sell. It is also possible to choose dividend, rebate or rebate in shares.
Note, Interest is also available, the amount will be shown in Bought/Sold Interest and will not affect the balance. It should be used for Fund Type Interest not Default.
Enter Amount and either the Quantity (Shares) or Price and the other field will be calculated. For the system to be able to show correct balance either the price or quantity have to be entered on all buy and sell transactions. It is also possible to leave price and quantity blank if you do not have the information yet, it is still possible to save the deal and fill out the information later.
For dividend and rebate only amount should be entered and for rebate in shares only Quantity should be entered.
If the dividend/ rebate should be re-invested a Buy transaction needs to be entered.
Press Execute
If adjustments needs to be done, mark the row and press modify.
On the Basic tab a summary will be shown where the acquisition amount, total quantity (per Today) and price will be shown.
Please be aware of if value date is modified the total buy amount is needed to be entered again and also the quantity.
